What you will do: Provide supervision to team leaders and warehouse associates who are assigned to pick and pack orders utilizing Dematic warehouse automation. Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in picking/packing, and quality control. Balance staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders Work closely with our maintenance mechanics to ensure that Dematic system is fully operational. Communicate status updates throughout the evening with the other shift supervisors and managers. Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. What you will bring: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Attention to detail and good time management skills. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift. The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment. The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties. The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks. Training will be provided. This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment. Ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.
