About The Position

The Warehouse Operations position at Cardinal Health is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role ensures the efficient flow of products from the point of receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to various internal and external customers. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9 PM, or until tasks are complete.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years related experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of product.
  • Monitor productivity, adhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Responsible for daily scheduling of the workforce to ensure proper staffing for selecting, replenishing, restocking, locating, and shipping merchandise efficiently.
  • Hold staff accountable for conducting work safely and ensure they have safe, efficient equipment for distribution functions.
  • Provide support for a culture striving toward continuous improvement in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Responsible for employee development, including training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
  • Maintain responsibility for the disciplinary process, ensuring a productive work climate within the Distribution Center.
  • Ensure accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained.
  • Adhere to budget requirements and work toward meeting objectives and division goals.
  • Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization.
  • Ensure quality service is provided to customers and prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints, and inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manage monetary assets and resources to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Responsible for compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and other regulations; serve as the primary facility contact for QRA compliance and initiatives.
  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as necessary.
