About The Position

The Freezer Forklift Operator is responsible for performing necessary freezer warehouse duties to ensure product is moved, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently. This full-time permanent position is eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and offers 40 hours of vacation time after 90 days. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM from January to April, and from 4:30 PM to 4:30 AM with possible Saturdays from May to December.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge and experience in forklift operations
• Above average skills in warehouse knowledge and attendance
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to perform addition and subtraction
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong time management and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate a scanner, computer, hand tools, and forklift
• General knowledge of forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck
• Valid driver's license
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent preferred

Nice To Haves

• Specialized training in Forklift Certification on It’s Up To You, PE4500, SC4500, RM6000 & RD5200

Responsibilities

• Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
• Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
• Verify pallets, packaging and report any damage
• Ensure and verify load count at the time of pulling
• Ensure product is safely put away and pulled from racks
• Inspect inbound product for damage and proper labeling
• Maintain constant communication with supervisor regarding production needs
• Complete load requirement documents when pulling loads
• Communicate effectively with related departments
• Maintain cleanliness in the put away and prep load aisles
• Ensure trailer temperature is correct
• Maintain sufficient product on production lines to avoid downtime
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment
• Perform physical inventories
• Identify scanner errors
• Ensure communication device is available
• Ensure labels are correct
• Review the unplaced report with supervisor
• Complete basic training within 30 days
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks
• Haul and load regular 28 tote loads and 28 pallet slip sheet loads within specified times
• Run repack or resort lines as required
