About The Position

The Team Leader position is a full-time role located in McDonough, GA, primarily working the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday. The job involves cross-functional responsibilities supporting the assigned team, ensuring quality product and daily schedule attainment. The Team Leader serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem-solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and training, while maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires accessibility to the production floor 95% of the time and a willingness to learn all jobs on the team to cover for absences or relief. The Team Leader coordinates with other work cells and departments to meet the company's production requirements and customers' needs, being accountable for results in terms of cost, methods, quality, quantity of production, operations, and personnel.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role/equivalent.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have coaching skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in completing production and assembly as needed.
• Oversee and direct a production team on a scheduled shift.
• Communicate effectively with management and employees to meet customers' needs or demands.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
• Ensure safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure production meets the organization's targeted goals.
• Schedule employees for the assigned work shift and conduct safety or training programs for employees.
• Monitor productivity, machinery, and employees' work to suggest improvements in the production process.
• Update and maintain production reports for tracking and keep the production and operations manager aware of the production area's performance as needed or required.
• Assist the Supervisor/Manager with employee adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Understand and support the foundational operations disciplines of safety, 5S, lean manufacturing, and standard work.
