About The Position

The position involves installing, modifying, configuring, and repairing computer hardware and software systems, while providing technical and functional assistance to system users. Responsibilities include oversight and administration of ITSM Tools, ensuring the accuracy of information in the ticketing system, and compliance with current and future KPIs and Performance Metrics. The role also entails installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading computer-related production equipment, such as labeling equipment and data collection terminals. Additionally, the position provides Tier 1 support and administration of telephony and voicemail systems, acting as a liaison between equipment vendors and the company. The role requires support in the administration and integration of local area networks (LAN) and wireless local area networks (WLAN), and the implementation and maintenance of electronic and technical systems as required. The position also involves creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and documentation.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma, Technical. Electronic/Computer Training or Certifications.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a technical support manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Related Help Desk, Desktop, & Network Troubleshooting experience.
  • A+ Certification a Plus.
  • ITIL Certification a Plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of college education.
  • Experience in a technical supported manufacturing or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Installs or assists in installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as HMI’s/MMI’s, mobile devices, monitors, keyboards, printers, and other similar or related equipment.
  • Installs/Configures specified software packages, such as operating systems and standard applications including Microsoft Office Applications Suite.
  • Instructs & Trains users in the use of equipment, software, and manuals, including one-on-one training and the creation of documentation.
  • Performs infrastructure troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network or communication-related problems.
  • Upgrades infrastructure hardware and software components as required.
  • Installs and troubleshoots wiring for local area network and telephony systems.
  • Monitors functioning of manufacturing and distribution IT equipment to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance on computers, HMI’s, labeling & printing devices, peripherals, etc.
  • Supports IT Technical Teams & IT Operations Team in the expansion and ongoing support of Infrastructure & Server Equipment.
  • Administers Incident Management & Request Fulfillment queues in ITSM Tool, focusing on continuous improvement.
