Compressions Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our BU360 and Cases business units. You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success. This role reports to the Operations Manager and will be supporting 2nd operations. Typical working hours are 3:00PM – 12:00AM, Monday – Friday. Training is available and may be required on our 1 st shift for up to 3 months.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.
  • Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred.
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

Responsibilities

  • Providing direction to skilled bargaining unit employees.
  • Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction.
  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members.
  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities.
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
  • Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence).
