About The Position

We are excited to invite a motivated, reliable, and team-oriented Second Shift Supervisor to join our growing North Carolina team! The shift hours are from 2:30 PM – 10:36 PM, Monday to Friday. The Shift Supervisor oversees all production operations during the second shift, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across printing and finishing activities. This role requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, solves problems quickly, and fosters a positive, collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate/Technical degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or printing experience, including supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of printing processes, materials, and equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and lead by example.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001-2015 standards a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office; ERP/MIS experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overtime.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods; bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for equipment operation.
  • Ability to work around noise, ink, paper dust, and printing machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production for carton and folding operations.
  • Ensure production schedules are met accurately and cost-effectively.
  • Monitor performance; provide coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Work closely with Prepress, Quality Control, Maintenance, and HR to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
  • Lead shift start-up and end-of-shift meetings; complete daily reports.
  • Troubleshoot production or machine issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO 9001-2015 quality standards.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate shift updates with incoming supervisors and management.
