Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
• Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating.
• Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
• Understanding standards and measurements.
• Math and computer skills.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) - if required by your role.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours.
• Abide by company GMP and PPE policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift sanitation activities to ensure that all processing and packaging equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to Gorton's SSOP's.
• Coordinate and communicate sanitation activities in the plant with the other Sanitation Coordinators and the Production Supervisors daily.
• Ensure that employees responsible for sanitation activities are adequately trained, with documented training records and an up-to-date training matrix maintained.
• Perform inspection of cleaned equipment.
• Audit, refill and organize chemicals, supplies and soaping machines.
• Assist and improve batter and product changeovers.
• Work with QC Technician on startups and batter sampling.
• Overtime will be required as needed to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
• Coordinate with the Sanitation Manager to order supplies.
• Verify accuracy and completion of documentation.
• Perform housekeeping throughout work area.
• Utilize Lockout/Tagout when tasks require.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
