The 2nd Shift QA Inspector - Kitting Process at Eaton is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical components and assemblies. This role involves inspecting products according to established guidelines, documenting findings, and communicating any non-conformances. The inspector will work closely with production associates and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to Eaton's quality standards.

  • Inspect the product produced on all lines according to inspection work instructions and governmental requirements.
  • Document inspections made on the applicable checklist.
  • Ensure circuit breakers function properly and verify torqued connections using a torque wrench.
  • Examine and verify mating structures to ensure job completion and problem-free field installation.
  • Verify that revisions released to the production floor are incorporated into the product and documentation is accurate.
  • Process and update paperwork accurately, including POM and test reports.
  • Communicate non-conformances and verify required rework to aid problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as an informal trainer for production associates and build positive relationships to support job objectives.
  • Perform other tasks as required to ensure effective utilization of assets.
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • One or more years of experience in a Quality Inspector or Testing position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in switchboard assembly or wiring areas.
  • Computer literacy and working knowledge of Lean concepts.
  • Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.
