About The Position
As a 2nd Shift Production Worker at Kroger Manufacturing, you will be responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world-class quality. This role requires you to perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. You will provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Your daily responsibilities will include following all safety procedures, including wearing all required personal protective equipment. You will effectively and safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and all related equipment to ensure that all daily orders are met. Completing safety observations when assigned, reading and following standard work for the assigned machine, and adhering to all standard work processes are essential tasks. You will also verify proper components at the work station before beginning a job and monitor the product to ensure that quality standards are met or exceeded. In addition, you will be responsible for completing all required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly, maintaining reliable attendance, including overtime as needed, and keeping your work area clean and orderly. Active participation in Total Process Control activities is expected, and you must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens. Following established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements is crucial, as is being accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles. You must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
