About The Position

As a Press Operator, you’ll be part of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team located in Berea, OH. You’ll get to set-up and operate hydraulic punch presses according to process instructions, inspect products to verify conformance to specifications, including first piece inspection ensuring conformance to blueprint, and perform preventative and general maintenance on machinery. You will maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, you will ensure all safety guarding is in place and properly working, complete all safety sign-off sheets daily or as needed, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. You will document all required production data and verify completion of worksheets, and perform other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

• Experience verifying dimensions of parts, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and/or fixed gauges
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform basic math – add, subtract, multiply whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Strong attention to detail
• Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
• Ability to read and understand procedure, routers and instruction
• Flexibility in work assignments
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
• Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
• Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Blueprint reading preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks per interpreted specifications, blueprints, and job orders to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
