About The Position

The 2nd Shift Pharma Warehouse Operator at DSV is responsible for creating, coordinating, and completing shipments of goods between the company and its clients. This role involves processing orders, ensuring shipment schedules are met, and acting as a point of contact for customer service. The operator will adhere to warehouse work instructions and maintain operational reports while ensuring the accuracy and delivery of transactions for clients.

Requirements

  • Must have forklift experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in customer service and logistics (will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
  • Material Handling Certification.
  • Dangerous Goods Qualification.
  • Forklift Operation and Certification.
  • Some experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities for an assigned shift or within an assigned area or function.
  • Adhere to specific warehouse work instructions for receiving, labeling, storing, shipping, and value add services as required in accordance with DSV Air & Sea standard policies and procedures.
  • Meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service.
  • Work with the supervisor, warehouse manager, and freight forwarding teams to identify areas to improve/enhance overall service to the client.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination.
  • Efficiently stage, stack, and load the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer, ensuring that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance with safety policies.
  • Load/Unload product correctly using appropriate handling techniques, segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
  • Verify the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location, count freight with the driver, and ensure all requirements are followed.
  • Perform all Forklift activities as required, including labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
  • Maintain an organized and orderly desk/office area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
