Requirements
- Proven experience as a successful leader, preferably within prior distribution, packaging, or manufacturing operations.
- Prior experience with setting and following production schedules (or scheduling rules).
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with stakeholders on completion of tasks.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Safely maneuver pushcarts and hand trucks.
- Safe operation of powered lift equipment.
- Climbing ladders.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use basic math.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfort working with computer systems.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a high-performance team setting preferred.
- Experience with LEAN practices / methodologies preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a coach, trainer, and leader of a skilled team of 6-8 people encompassing Manufacturing and Packaging operations.
- Ensure we meet customer needs and maintain a high level of service.
- Manage operations in compliance with company's policies and vision.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all packaging, handling, manufacturing, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
