Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful leader, preferably within prior distribution, packaging, or manufacturing operations.
  • Prior experience with setting and following production schedules (or scheduling rules).
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with stakeholders on completion of tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Safely maneuver pushcarts and hand trucks.
  • Safe operation of powered lift equipment.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use basic math.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfort working with computer systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a high-performance team setting preferred.
  • Experience with LEAN practices / methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a coach, trainer, and leader of a skilled team of 6-8 people encompassing Manufacturing and Packaging operations.
  • Ensure we meet customer needs and maintain a high level of service.
  • Manage operations in compliance with company's policies and vision.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all packaging, handling, manufacturing, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
