Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Aero Systems organization has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Sr. Manager, 2nd shift Operations. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the onsite 2nd shift operation in North Berwick (Parts Center, Modular Assembly, and Aftermarket Operations). You will provide direction and guidance to the 2nd shift team who are responsible for executing the production plans on 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, Project, or Program management experience preferred.
  • CORE and Lean experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • MRP/SAP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive performance in all success areas: Environmental, Health & Safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cultivating employee engagement.
  • Build and develop a responsive and flexible team, empowering employees from cell leaders to operators.
  • Understand and meet customer expectations.
  • Manufacture standard work on your shift, managing critical part plans to completion.
  • Manage critical resource allocation to ensure that business metrics are met.
  • Embrace Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) and thrive in a team environment with high performance expectations.
  • Maintain a world-class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
  • Execute manufacturing standard work (MSW) on your shift.
  • Coach and mentor both hourly and salary employees.
  • Conduct live Tier walks at shift changeover for all businesses.
  • Develop, track and close action items to eliminate production road blocks.
  • Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness.
  • Address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship.
  • Own 2nd shift performance for the Site.
