The Route Runner/Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Delivers WIP (Work in Process) material to various departments to support the manufacturing process
Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify
Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation
Determines method of replenishment utilizing knowledge of procedures and routes
Preparing materials from storage to assembly line
Operates material handling equipment such as part carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage
Oral and written communication skills
Time management and organizational skills to keep track of inter-department deliveries and stay on schedule
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees
