About The Position

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is seeking a hands-on 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic to keep our foundry running strong. This position requires working with machines, tools, and heavy-duty equipment in a hot and gritty environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems, as well as performing routine preventative maintenance and handling installations and equipment upgrades.

Requirements

  • A solid background in industrial maintenance; foundry experience is a big plus
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in tight spots, hot areas, and physically demanding situations
  • Comfort working on ladders and with overhead tasks, lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Strong work ethic, common sense, and a team-first attitude

Responsibilities

  • Jump in on emergency breakdowns to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems
  • Keep machines humming with routine preventative maintenance
  • Handle installations, adjustments, and equipment upgrades
  • Read work orders and follow manuals while using tools from wrenches to multimeters
  • Support the crew and ensure the job is done right the first time
