About The Position

Our Pet Segment is seeking a 2nd shift Class 3 Machine Operator to be a part of our Kaytee division based in Chilton, WI. You will be responsible for setting up and running machines, palletizers, and scales. This position works four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday; enjoy a long weekend every week! Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 50+ pounds with frequent bending, lifting and twisting.
  • Must have proficient math skills.
  • Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work independently in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Ability to operate a RF scanner device.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally (with assistance).
  • Must have the ability to bend, twist, turn and climb.
  • Possess solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately mix ingredients according to specific formulas and delivering these mixes to the proper packaging bins.
  • Ensure accurate mixing, both visually and through quality assurance checks.
  • Schedule and plan mixing operation to meet production schedule.
  • Maintain communication between Line Leaders, Mill Operators, and Shift Supervisor.
  • Record all inventory transactions by accurately completing RF scanner functions and paperwork.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
