About The Position

As a Header Machinist you’ll be part of our team located in Brea, CA. You’ll get to set, troubleshoot and operate cold heading machines, as required. Efficiently produce quality products that meet all expectations utilizing manufacturing drawings, process control documents, training materials, and departmental work instructions. Utilize all internal forms of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, gages, etc. Communicate all pertinent and/or necessary information to fellow employees. Gather materials for production such as part drawings, tool drawings, production schedules, production requirements, production reports, etc. Report production and set-up in the K-Lite production tracking system. Detect and report faulty machine and/or equipment conditions, material anomalies, part/tool drawing discrepancies or other unusual shop floor activities. Keep machines in best operating conditions, including replacing worn fasteners, machine parts or tooling. May be required to participate in and/or conduct trainings with new department staff.

Requirements

• 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with inspection tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Drop gages, etc.).
• Experience with National, Okuma, and Waterbury.
• Preferred blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and work in an unair-conditioned shop environment.
• Ability to bend, twist, and squat in awkward positions for prolonged periods.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed work.
