About The Position

Under direction of supervisor and/or leader, operates forklift. The position involves various tasks related to the transportation and handling of materials within the production area, specifically in the Juice production lines.

Requirements

• Must become Utility Person qualified.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate a forklift to meet company skill requirements.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate.

Responsibilities

• Picks up bins (full or empty), supplies, equipment, etc., and transports them to a designated area.
• Maintains supply of product and material to and from lines or areas as needed.
• Stacks or unstacks pallets or bins.
• Loads or unloads trucks.
• Stocks Juice production lines with pallets and places in Palletizer as required.
• Transfers pallets of finished goods to Juice staging areas.
• Wraps, tags and places slip-sheets and boards on pallets.
• Supplies Juice lines with materials.
• Cuts wrap on bottles at the Juice Depalletizer and places on production lines.
• Transfers empty pallets and dunnage from Juice lines to Packaging Materials.
• Transfers bottles from Packaging Materials to production lines.
• Removes excess material or refuse as directed.
• Completes records as necessary, including daily check list prior to operation of forklift.
• Maintains fuel, oil and water supply in forklift.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly using common cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to work overtime if required.
• Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices in assigned area.
• Fills, stacks, moves or handles materials weighing up to 50 pounds frequently or continuously.
• Must be able to use arms, hands or feet to grip, hold, push or manipulate various objects, fruit, controls, or equipment.
• Must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and periodically lift and or manipulate with assistance 150 pounds.
• Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.
