This position involves operating a forklift safely and efficiently, adhering to all International Paper's safety rules, policies, and protocols. Key responsibilities include unloading inbound and outbound shipments, moving products to storage, and efficiently stacking merchandise. The role requires ensuring the accuracy and damage-free condition of shipments, reporting quality variances, and preparing orders for shipment. You will move products from staging/storage areas and production lines into trailers and/or storing/staging areas, and load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment. Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, performing daily inspections and minor maintenance on equipment, and keeping accurate records for inventory control are also part of the job. You will assist in physical inventories, maintain a clean work area, and perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required. Additionally, you will complete forms, logs, inventory, and records accurately, and perform shipping and billing duties when the shipping lead is absent.
