About The Position

This is a full-time position at the Treating Plant where the primary responsibilities include loading, unloading, and transporting wood. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, starting at 12:30 pm, and may include some Saturdays. The position is hourly and eligible for overtime pay, with no travel expected.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift experience with UTD certification or the ability to demonstrate safe handling of a forklift in an onsite test.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Always adhere to yard rules of operation.
• Operate machinery per UTD, OSHA, and product-specific standards.
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
• Perform daily tasks of treating wood, loading, unloading the cylinder, tagging wood, repackaging, repairing bundles, and redistributing wood back into the yard.
• Meet treating process change out goals.
• Rotate wood on the yard according to the rotation plan.
• Load and unload wood daily carefully while not damaging the wood.
• Be heavily involved in the maintenance and upkeep of the treating plant per the maintenance schedule.
• Properly complete daily production paperwork associated with loading and unloading wood.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Communicate needs and issues directly to Team Lead.
• Be on time and remain in compliance with Company Handbook.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by the VP of Operations or Operations Manager.
