Vertical Cold Storage is looking for an experienced customer service professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 2-3 years customer service or warehouse office experience
  • Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and write English

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between the warehouse and the customer, maintaining excellent working relationships by responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Check drivers in/out and assign doors in coordination with dock operations, notifying the warehouse of arrivals and scheduling.
  • Ensure receipts for products are accurately entered in the system following established processes and customer instructions.
  • Finalize receipts to confirm counts match or discrepancies are verified and documented, ensuring products are accurately located in the system.
  • Validate orders are accurately entered in accordance with established processes and customer instructions, effectively communicating with warehouse staff and affected personnel.
  • Ensure products are allocated to orders per customer instructions and have been properly processed and shipped from the WMS system.
  • Follow procedures to ensure customers are accurately billed for services in a timely manner based on established tariff rates and any negotiated rates.
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues, selecting and explaining the best solutions, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and distributing information per customer and/or established procedures.
  • Operate a multiple phone line system ensuring expedient and courteous responses.
  • Maintain inter and intra-departmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
  • Support assigned duties of management to assist in the business of the facility.
