Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Business discipline
  • Prior experience in Dairy/Food manufacturing and/or Warehousing

Responsibilities

  • Achievement of established department goals of load-out, production volume, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to employees for the purpose of development and establishment of a good working atmosphere.
  • Coordinates daily load-out and production activities to meet business objectives.
  • Communicates non-compliances in a timely fashion to appropriate Managers for corrective action.
  • Communicates with department managers to maintain efficient operations.
  • Assigns job responsibilities to employees, according to policies, to meet planned shipping and production schedules ensuring that the proper equipment and operating techniques are followed.
  • Monitors changes in employee morale and works to resolve problems within departments.
  • Maintains employee records and inputs employee time into payroll system
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory for all packaging for the facility.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory for all fruits for the facility.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory for all ingredients for the facility.
  • Ensures standard operating procedures for job functions are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintains product/code rotation of Cooler and Plant inventory. (FIFO) First in, First out.
  • Responsible for assigned safety program. (Forklifts)
  • Conducts accident investigations as needed.
  • Responsible for Cooler and Warehouse employee job performance, including safety, orientation, training, and discipline.
  • Assures compliance with employee relations policies and programs.
  • Monitors and enforces all Company policies.
  • Instructs and trains current and future employees as needed.
  • Coordinate’s load-out schedules, production runs, bills of lading, trailer inventories, and master sanitation schedules.
  • Check daily inbound for discrepancies using our ERP system.
  • Schedule inbound daily deliveries.
  • Review daily pick sheets
  • Cycle count from pick sheets daily.
  • Inventory corrugate (trays, boxes) against the daily plan for accuracy
  • Manage inventory of fruit, powder, & ingredient lot codes. FIFO.
  • Manage fruit inventory accuracy and make ERP adjustments weekly
  • Audit WIP inventory usage weekly and make inventory adjustments in ERP.
  • Schedule delivery appoints with external storage warehouses for inbound fruit and packaging.
  • Schedule weekly recyclable pickups.
  • Manage product / material holds, vendor returns, and obsolete items.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities to improve safety, losses, performance results, processes, and costs.
  • Actively participates in the Management review process.
  • Ensures that food quality and food safety are the highest priorities in the North Country Dairy facility, demonstrated by active participation from employees at all levels, including personal involvement in the auditing of procedures and processes.
