About the position

This position is responsible for forming different substrates of sheet metal. These responsibilities include shaping metal, maintaining press brake, reading blueprints, completing inspections, packaging, lifting, and moving of parts & inventory, using a forklift, and following safety regulations. 2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm - 12:00am

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working conditions are being maintained in your area.
  • Participate in implementation of safety projects when asked.
  • Minimize hazardous wastes from processes, continually seeking alternatives.
  • Adhere to product verification systems in place throughout the build process.
  • Understand preventative and corrective actions and adhere to them.
  • Promote teamwork, communicate effectively, and provide feedback on progress to your Team Leader.
  • Adhere to company policy and ensure procedures in place are followed.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve to resolve any equipment or technical issues.
  • Adhere to technical and quality standards put in place by Team Leader.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Press brake experience is required
  • Understanding of how to read blueprints
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing basics
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Flexible and can quickly adjust to change
  • Basic use of inspection tooling (tape measures, calipers, etc)
  • Good math skills
  • Knowledge of different types of material
