The position is for a 2nd Shift Baler Operator/Material Handler, where you will be responsible for processing paper waste from production lines and scrap returns from customers. This role requires the use of a forklift to pick up tear-off boxes from production lines and promotes a clean area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and compliance to applicable safety, quality, maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
• Knowledge of and compliance to applicable quality requirements including the identification of 'waste'.
• Ability to safely operate equipment.
• Ability to maintain clean and organized work area.
• Knowledge of and compliance to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
• Knowledge and awareness of relevance and importance of activities contributing to the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality System requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process paper waste from production lines and scrap returns from customers.
• Use a forklift to pick up tear-off boxes from production lines.
• Promote clean area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Record weight of in-house scrap.
• Record weight of bales.
• Load bale trailer with maximum number of bales without exceeding max weight.
• Unload palletized and loose scrap returned from customers.
• Complete a MINIMUM of 8 bales per 8 hour shift (unassisted).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
