What you will do Complete assembly of complex standard products where procedures and methods are prescribed, involving tubing layout and application to package, bending or sawing pipe as needed to support Assembly and Welding operations. Assist in mounting motors, compressors and drive gears to packages. Includes layout, drilling or slotting holes in packages bases or stand-alone Screw units. Assist in performing soft foot on motors, align and measure offsets using manual indicators or laser. Assist in performing air pressure testing on packages. Able to perform evacuation of packages. 6. Able to perform oil flush or oil run on packages. Assist in locating vessels to package bases. Use of all power and hand tools and other measuring devices to assure accurate fitting and alignment of parts to meet specifications on blueprints/drawings and pass identified test requirements. Detect unusual conditions and defects in material/parts and report to supervision. Read and follow blueprints/drawings. Perform necessary material handling associated with job, excludes rigging of packages. Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records. Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises. Wash, clean and prep packages for paint. Prep packages to ship including, assisting Welder Assemblers by applying tags to units to identify equipment and devices. Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s. How you will do it The following description covers the most significant duties performed, but does not exclude duties of a lower level for any length of time, or duties of a higher level for approximately 20% of the time. Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hrs/day. No lifting over 35 lbs. Frequent reaching above waist height, bending at the waist, stooping, crouching, kneeling, push/pull, climbing, simple grasping and fine manipulation. The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments, not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in the conformity with the factory degrees assigned to the job. HOURS 2pm to 10pm M-F (training on 1st shift 6am - 2pm M-F) Pay Range: $28.51 (increase to $29.37 as of 2/22/2026) hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
