The 2nd Press Operator is responsible for assisting in all routine aspects (set-up, press run, maintenance) of press operations. You will assist Lead Pess Operators to achieve maximum quantitative and qualitative performance.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Level of work activity is medium, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of press operations.
Must be able to read, write legibly, follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Locates and verifies correct stock, inks and coatings.
Set up feed board, side guides, detector, double sheet detector and delivery.
Sets headstops to zero, headstops height.
Puts ink in fountains, maintains ink and water systems, and continues to monitor.
Reads, reviews, and understands the job ticket before beginning the scheduled job.
Checks side guide, registration, and sheet quality
Assists Lead Press Operator as directed.
Assists in wash-up and cleaning procedures.
