You’ll play a key role as they scale their South African technical team. My client is building out their South African technical team and is looking for a highly capable 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer who enjoys owning complex problems end‑to-end. This is not a ticket‑factory role. You’ll be the engineer people trust when issues become messy, cross‑platform, or high‑risk. You’ll work across Microsoft cloud technologies, networking, servers, and endpoints, acting as the escalation point for more junior engineers and helping raise the technical standard of the team. The environment is an MSP, meaning real‑world complexity, multiple clients, and constant technical variety. You’ll troubleshoot authentication failures, networking issues, security incidents, Conditional Access policies, Intune deployments, and hybrid infrastructure challenges, often spotting patterns others miss. You’ll also mentor junior engineers, guide rather than dictate, and document solutions properly so the next person doesn’t start from scratch. Autonomy, judgement, and technical integrity matter here.
