About The Position
EchoPark Automotive is hiring a 2G Smog Automotive Technician to join our team in Henderson, NV. Our Technicians enjoy guaranteed pay, a very collaborative and casual work environment, very different from a traditional "dog-eat-dog" shop. It's fun, fair, and a great place to work. To excel in this service role, you will need excellent customer service skills, effective communication skills, and attention to detail. The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Our technicians inspect and repair a wide range of pre-owned makes and models up to 12 years old.
Requirements
- Must be state-certified where applicable
- Must have 2G Smog Certificate
- At least 6 months of previous Automotive Mechanic experience, or Auto Tech School certification
- Own a set of tools
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions and willingness to learn
- Respect for teammates and a positive outlook
Responsibilities
- 190 Point Vehicle Inspection
- Lube, filter, flushes
- Brake system and tire repair
- Suspension and alignments
- Vehicle Drivability
- Air Conditioning Diagnosis and Repair
- Light Line work to include – Gasket and seal repairs, component replacement, water pumps, and alternators
- Occasional heavy line, engine, and transmission removal and installation, no rebuilds or overhauls
