Position Overview We're seeking experienced 2G/3G/4G Structural Welders for immediate openings in Corpus Christi, TX. Requirements
- Valid welding certification in 2G, 3G, and/or 4G positions (current certification required)
- Minimum 2-3 years of structural welding experience
- Proficiency in SMAW (Stick), FCAW, and/or GMAW welding processes
- Ability to pass welding tests as required by project specifications
- Strong understanding of welding safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures
- Physical ability to work in various positions and conditions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Multiple position certifications (2G + 3G + 4G combination preferred)
- Additional certifications (ASME, AWS, or API certifications)
- Experience with structural steel, pressure vessels, or piping systems
- Experience in industrial, petrochemical, or refinery environments
- Familiarity with X-ray and ultrasonic testing procedures
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding operations in 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical), and 4G (overhead) positions
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
- Prepare materials and work areas for welding operations
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper functionality
- Conduct quality inspections of completed welds
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Complete welding documentation and reports as required
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople on project requirements
