About The Position

Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures.

1. Responsible for 2D and other machine programming including, but not limited to: bed-style thermal cutting equipment, bed router, brake and hydraulic presses, and laser marking equipment. 
2. Work directly with the machines and operators to identify opportunities for improvement.
3. May assist with basic CAD work.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Safety glasses and other PPE required, as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, 8-12 hours per day (depending on schedule) with overtime as needed to meet production schedules. Adherence to attendance policy is required.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or graduations from a certified technical school 
2. Strong Mechanical design aptitude
3. Strong literacy with Microsoft Office Suite
4. Interpersonal and mechanical aptitude necessary to deal effectively with a variety of departments

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Familiar with current GD&T standards
2. Familiar with variety of machine operation and programming
3. Familiar with use of machine controls and programming software
