About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS. Requirements

• A current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering including operations, management, design, and development of cloud-based applications and capabilities with a Bachelor's in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• 3+ years experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience writing in Python and working on the Linux Command Line.
• Experience automating cloud configuration using tooling such as Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc.
• Ability to work autonomously actively identifying areas for improvement.
• Able to collaborate with existing platform architects on long term and strategic architectural changes to the platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 3-4 days per week at our Fort Meade, MD customer site or our local Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Engineering, architecting, and deployment of Cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Developing strategic and implementation plans for information systems.
• Developing the infrastructure as code required to generate cloud security infrastructure and security enclaves.
• Working in a high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
