About the position
The position requires a skilled Systems Administrator (SA) with a strong background in managing and troubleshooting IT systems. The candidate will be responsible for providing in-depth support for various operating systems, including UNIX and Windows, and will be involved in the resolution process for hardware and software issues. The role also includes configuring and managing network components and implementing enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components.
Requirements
- VMWARE experience and exposure to AWS.
- Linux system administration experience.
- Ten (10) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required.
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
