About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art or related field.
• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license in Art (550/1550).
• Ability to work under general safe and comfortable conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Spanish and/or Hmong for bilingual positions.

Responsibilities

• Use standards to identify learning targets for students.
• Develop daily and weekly plans to support student growth towards mastery of standards.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods to build engagement and collaboration.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Provide daily opportunities for students to describe their reasoning and justify conclusions.
• Define and plan formative assessments to show evidence of learning.
• Analyze data and adjust instruction based on student achievement and observation.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and resource needs.
• Collaborate with all staff in support of student learning.
