About The Position
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for instructing assigned students in designated locations and times, providing accommodations and modifications as outlined in student IEPs, and completing required special education documentation. The teacher will create a conducive classroom environment, prepare for classes, assist with state testing, and ensure regular communication with the Director of Special Populations regarding challenges faced at the campus. The role includes training classroom teachers on IEP submissions and goal development, maintaining high standards of classroom behavior, and assessing student progress. The teacher will also document learning problems and seek assistance from specialists as needed, while maintaining accurate records and implementing school policies.
