About The Position

The Teaching Artist position at GREAT Theatre is a non-exempt, seasonal part-time role focused on providing educational experiences through theatrical storytelling in local school districts. The role involves working with students in a structured environment, leading auditions, rehearsals, and performances over a period of 4-8 weeks during the 25/26 school year, specifically from October 2025 to March 2026. The position requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, primarily during school hours, with specific schedules for auditions, rehearsals, and performances outlined. Teaching Artists will report to the Education Manager and are expected to contribute to the mission of GREAT Theatre by enriching lives through the arts.

Requirements

• Experience in teaching or working with youth in an educational or artistic setting.
• Strong background in performing arts, particularly in theatre.
• Ability to work flexible hours during the school day.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
