About the position
Bright Star Schools is seeking a qualified candidate for a teaching position in Biology. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and a Single Subject CA Credential in Biology (Clear or Preliminary credential required). The role requires a commitment to urban education and a passion for teaching. The selected candidate will be expected to engage with students and contribute to the school community effectively.
Responsibilities
- Teach Biology to students in an urban school setting.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in professional development and training programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Single Subject CA Credential in Biology (Clear or Preliminary credential required).
- Two years of urban teaching experience preferred.
- Possession of either an English Learner Authorization (EL Authorization), Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate; or Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC) required.

- Bilingual in Spanish or Korean desirable, but not required.
