The Department of Kinesiology seeks graduate students as Teaching Associate applicants. Teaching Associates typically are responsible for providing classroom instruction. Eligibility is determined by successful TA eligibility, department eligibility and adequate funding. The department is seeking TA applicants for sections of various Kinesiology Activity Classes (KAC). TAs will teach sections of KAC such as: KAC 4 - Swim for Beginners, KAC 21 - Elementary Strength Training, KAC 22 - Bowling, KAC 24 - Elementary Aerobics, KAC 33 - Fitness Walking, KAC 39 - Jogging, KAC 65 - Basketball, KAC 68 - Soccer, KAC 71 - Elementary Volleyball, KAC 80T - Pickleball, KAC 103 - Swim for Fitness. TAs may also teach labs such as: Kines 109 Lab - Motor Learning, Kines 116 Lab - Fundamentals of Biomechanics, Kines 118 Lab - Fundamentals of Exercise Physiology, Kines 163 Lab - Fitness & Wellness, Kines 165 Lab - Performance Related Fitness or opportunities to teach other beginning courses in the department as needed. The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign TAs to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
