About The Position

This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency! This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period. Requirements

• Possession of an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Nursing required.
• Possession of a State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Work required.
• One-year experience (professional or paraprofessional) in treating or working with persons who have a mental illness required.
• Possession of First Aid and CPR Certification required.
• Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation for job related use required.
• Familiarity with computers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services for adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses within the short-term case management team.
• Function as an RN to assist AMHS Waverly Wellness team as needed.
• Administer prescribed drugs and maintain medication documentation.
• Coordinate medical services to consumers served by the program.
• Provide general care and medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices.
• Complete assessments for adults with serious mental illness.
• Provide referrals to community agencies.
• Provide crisis services and case management.
• Coordinate hospital discharge functions.
• Work closely with team Psychiatrists and team members.
• Manage data and outcomes for AMHS Healthcare Integration projects.
• Provide consultation with primary care physicians/community resources.
• Assist with providing staff training as needed.
