About The Position

The Assistant Superintendent / Campus Director-Elect position at Northeast Technology Center is a full-time, exempt certified professional role. The individual will serve as the presumptive Campus Director for FY27 and will be assigned to the Pryor Campus. The starting date for this position is July 1, 2025. The role involves assisting the current Campus Director with the operation and supervision of the technology center campus, which includes responsibilities such as campus budgeting, curriculum development, student counseling, personnel evaluation, public relations, and maintaining physical facilities. The individual will also spend FY26 familiarizing themselves with partner schools, communities, personnel, and operational practices of the Pryor Campus, as well as the District culture and organizational management structure.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required.
  • Five years of experience as an administrator of vocational programs is preferred.
  • Must hold a current Superintendent's Certificate as defined by the Oklahoma Department of Education and Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education.
  • Must be eligible to pursue attainment of the CareerTech School Administrator Credential.
  • All positions require a criminal history background check and a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the current Campus Director with the operation and supervision of the technology center campus.
  • Manage campus budgeting and curriculum development.
  • Counsel students and evaluate certified and non-certified personnel.
  • Maintain positive public relations and represent Northeast Technology Center professionally.
  • Supervise all instructors and support personnel at the campus.
  • Evaluate all personnel under supervision in accordance with school policies.
  • Recommend employment and discharge of personnel to the superintendent.
  • Promote student and staff safety and security.
  • Maintain safe facilities for students and staff.
  • Enforce school policies concerning safety and maintain student discipline.
  • Assist teachers with in-service training needed to develop their potential as instructors.
  • Hold regular staff meetings to provide information to teachers and allow input from faculty.
  • Make recommendations to the Superintendent for repairs, maintenance, and purchase of equipment.
  • Promote student organizations and encourage participation of students and teachers.
  • Control flow of live work in programs and evaluate the physical plant and equipment.
  • Inform the Superintendent of necessary needs and repairs.
  • Work with sending schools to promote programs and maintain close working relations.
  • Supervise receipts and disbursements of all funds at campus.
  • Approve all campus purchases.
