About The Position

Northeast Technology Center is seeking a full-time CNC Instructor for the Claremore Campus. The instructor will be responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom and lab environment, maintaining discipline, and overseeing the inventory of tools and equipment. The position requires collaboration with other instructors to train students in developing trade skills. The instructor will also be involved in public relations and representing the institution professionally. The role is exempt and requires a commitment to a 10-month staff schedule, starting on August 1, 2025.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must qualify for a standard or provisional Teaching Certificate as defined by the Oklahoma Department of Education.
  • Currently teaching a Career Tech CNC program preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory and/or training experience preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school and/or adult students in a shop-type environment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills.
  • Proficiency in record keeping, prioritizing, and scheduling.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC machining and computer numerical control setup.
  • Experience in making presentations before large groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all state and federal laws, policies, and procedures of the school district.
  • Ensure a pleasant, safe, and orderly climate for learning in the classroom.
  • Upgrade teaching techniques and methodologies to deliver current training to students.
  • Work cooperatively with staff to improve educational services for students.
  • Establish and maintain controls for expenditures of school funds.
  • Meet and instruct students in assigned classes at designated times.
  • Provide individualized and group instruction using various instructional techniques.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and academic progress.
  • Conduct inventory of tools and equipment before the start of school.
  • Assist students in job readiness skills and finding employment in their trained field.
