About The Position
The Monarch Resort Spa, located in the scenic Black Hawk, CO, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, catering to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. As a Restaurant Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service that exceeds their expectations. Your passion for food and service will shine through as you interact with guests, providing them with a warm welcome and guiding them to their tables. You will be responsible for taking and entering beverage orders promptly, memorizing and recommending food and beverage items, and ensuring that guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience. In this role, you will be expected to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization within the restaurant. This includes clearing and setting tables, completing side work, and performing other assigned duties to ensure a smooth operation. You will also be tasked with addressing and escalating any guest concerns, all while adhering to safety and alcohol awareness procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate in both spoken and written English. You will need to be capable of understanding and following both written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all guests receive the highest level of service. Physical demands of the job include the ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods, as well as the capability to push and pull weights of up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 45 lbs. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you will be required to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and will need to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
