About the position

The International Student Services Intern Tier II at St. Olaf College is a part-time role focused on overseeing the recruitment of staff employees. The intern will lead recruitment efforts, collaborate with hiring managers, and manage employment changes while ensuring a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion within the college community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the College's recruitment of staff employees.
  • Lead recruiting team and efforts to support the College's employment and recruitment needs for staff.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and members of the President's Leadership Team to fill job vacancies and manage current employees' employment changes.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing relationships and communication with hiring managers and campus partners.
  • Provide coaching, advice and strategic direction throughout the hiring process to improve hiring process efficiencies and quality of hires.
  • Review and revise job descriptions.
  • Post and source job openings via applicant tracking system.
  • Create and send offer and employment letters.
  • Coordinate and liaise with staffing agency and temporary employees to fill the college's temporary needs.
  • Perform administrative functions and processes, ensuring employment-related tasks are performed on a timely basis.
  • Enter new hires and pending actions into HRIS Compensation.
  • Provide recommendations for wage rates and pay grades.
  • Assist with annual compensation planning work.
  • Create annual salary letters.
  • Serve as Human Resources project lead for Oracle Cloud implementation.
  • Create processes, manage, cleanse and test data.
  • Design, implement and work on Human Resources-related projects.
  • Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years experience in human resources, employment, recruiting and/or compensation, or relevant experience.

  • Degree in Human Resources.
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience.
