About The Position
Diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment related to construction, highway maintenance, grounds, and automotive equipment of all types and in varied locations. The role involves diagnosing vehicle, equipment or asset failures using electronic testing equipment, service and equipment repair manuals and online resources, and recommending outsourcing for major repairs when needed. Additionally, the position requires preparing equipment for emergency operations, making repairs to reduce downtime during emergencies, and maintaining required maintenance and repair documentation. The technician will perform repairs and overhauls on various automobiles and equipment, conduct preventive maintenance, perform Virginia State inspections, and engage in welding repair and fabrication.
