About The Position

The Airport Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily safety, security, and efficiency of operations at Tampa International Airport (TPA). This role involves establishing strategic direction for incident management and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to proactively address operational issues with minimal guidance from senior management.

Requirements

• Strong leadership acumen and exceptional attention to detail.

• Proven experience in crisis management and decision-making during emergencies.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of management and stakeholders.

• Experience in airport operations or management roles.
• Familiarity with FAA and TSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and enforce the Authority's Operational Policies, Procedures, Rules, Regulations, and Operating Directives.
• Monitor airport operations and direct operations staff to ensure safe and efficient service to airport users.
• Act as a key member of the Airport's incident management team during event response, providing leadership in emergencies.
• Assume all roles in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) before, during, and after events, facilitating timely and complete situation information.
• Develop changes and additions to procedures to continuously improve airport operations' safety, security, and efficiency.
• Provide primary operational oversight of the entire airport and the operation during shifts.
• Monitor all key performance indicators and proactively lead to address and/or mitigate any issues.
