Position Overview PSG is seeking ambitious and intellectually curious Summer Sourcing Analysts to join our dynamic internship program in Summer 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the world of growth equity by actively contributing to live deals and strategic investment initiatives. As part of the Sourcing team, you will help identify and originate high-potential investment opportunities for both PSG and its portfolio companies, working closely with experienced investors and senior leaders. Throughout the internship, you’ll develop and refine your analytical, research, and communication skills through hands-on training and meaningful project work. Top-performing individuals may be offered a return opportunity as full-time Sourcing Analysts post-graduation. This internship program is only open to students who plan to graduate in 2028. Please note that you may apply to only ONE internship program (either Sourcing or Investment), but not both.

Requirements

This internship program is only open to students who will be rising seniors during Summer 2027.
Must have a track record of strong academic performance and demonstrated interest and/or experience in finance and growth equity
Team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and comfortable working independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to express key points in a clear and concise manner
A competitive drive to own individual and team results
Ability to work cross-functionally in a vibrant, growing environment while meeting the expectations of multiple stakeholders
Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage rapidly changing assignments

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and connect with CEOs and founders of high-potential software companies that align with PSG’s investment strategy—often making the first impression on behalf of the firm.
Dive deep into industry and market landscapes to uncover emerging trends, disruptive business models, and compelling investment themes.
Sharpen your investment judgment by helping prioritize which opportunities PSG’s deal teams should pursue—playing a key role in driving the firm’s pipeline.
Collaborate with sector-focused teams to help build and refine investment theses—contributing research, insights, and ideas that shape where PSG should invest next.
Source strategic M&A targets for PSG’s portfolio companies, contributing to their continued growth through thoughtful acquisition strategy.
Gain visibility into every stage of the deal lifecycle, from initial outreach to diligence and post-close integration, with hands-on exposure to how real investments are made.
Lead an independent research project on a software vertical or market segment, culminating in a presentation to the firm’s leadership team with your strategic insights.
