Our growing Risk Advisory Services practice, a specialty area within our Consulting Services group, provides outsourcing, co-sourcing and Sarbanes-Oxley assistance to clients in various industries, is seeking motivated students who are interested in expanding their knowledge in the consulting industry to participate in our 2027 internship program. As a Risk Advisory Summer Intern, you'll be an integral part of our engagement team, working on a variety of exciting projects. From risk assessment and process improvement to control evaluation and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, you'll gain hands-on experience in a supportive learning culture that values quality and integrity. That’s why we’ve embraced a hybrid work model, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home as well as in the office. Schneider Downs has embraced the hybrid work model, so this role will have flexibility working from home, as well as in the office. Our summer session runs from mid-May to mid-August, and while flexibility is at the core of our culture, we expect interns to be available during working hours – Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028, with availability to start full-time work by July 2028
  • A preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum), or a combination of educational success and relevant work or volunteer experience

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-quality internal audit engagements and special projects
  • Collaborate with your team on compliance and advisory projects
  • Draft audit reports for management review
  • Assist in preparing risk assessments, audit plans and internal audit reports
  • Serve a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors
