About The Position

The Wealth Management Research Summer Internship is a track of our traditional Wealth Management Intern Program offering a unique opportunity to work with our dedicated research team based in our Wealth Management headquarters in downtown Seattle, WA. As a Wealth Management Research Intern, you will work directly with a specialized team of four Research Analysts and two Research Associates who provide proprietary research and insights to the firm's Financial Advisors. The team maintains three primary Separately Managed Account (SMA) portfolios and an Equity Research coverage universe of approximately 55 stocks. As an intern, you will gain exposure to portfolio analysis, investment due diligence, and the creation of market commentary that directly supports our Advisors and their clients. A key project will involve assisting in the analysis and coordination of the D.A. Davidson Student Investment Program, which provides funded accounts to 21 universities. In addition, you will provide analytical support and contribute to various ad-hoc projects. This paid, 9-week internship consists of a minimum of 25 hours per week and includes an immersive Intern Week, where you will interact with Executive and Senior Leadership from all areas of the firm. All interns will have the opportunity to study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate and Class of 2027 Undergraduates preferred.
  • Strong academic performance and professional drive.
  • Proven analytical, leadership, communication, teamwork, and service skills.
  • Authorization to work in the US.
  • Satisfactory results of background, reference, and credit checks.
  • Ability to commit to the duration of the program.
