Our Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Internship gives you hands-on experience building and validating the software systems that power one of the world’s busiest airports. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to design, develop, and execute both automated and manual test cases. You’ll learn how to apply testing frameworks, validate APIs and integrations, and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines. Along the way, you’ll gain exposure to real-world software quality practices that ensure our enterprise applications are reliable, secure, and high-performing.

  • Assist in creating and implementing automated test cases for web, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Review requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios and potential coverage gaps.
  • Collaborate with engineers and peers to refine testing strategies and ensure alignment with development objectives.
  • Perform functional, regression, and API integration testing to validate application quality.
  • Document and report defects clearly, working closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed test results, notes, and status updates on work items.
  • Must be an active student in a bachelor’s degree program with an emphasis in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Assurance, Automation, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of software testing principles, automation practices, and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Exposure to common testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Maven).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with attention to detail and openness to feedback.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from one of the following universities (University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma).
