About The Position

As a Public Safety Research & Analytics intern, you will assist in analyzing crime data, conducting research, and developing actionable insights to support law enforcement agencies and public safety initiatives. Requirements

  • Must be an active student in a bachelor's degree program with an emphasis on criminal justice, emergency management and homeland security, fire science, law enforcement, or public safety administration.
  • Possession of a valid class C driver's license.
  • 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from one of the following universities: University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, University of Oklahoma, or Sam Houston State University.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff.
  • Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in the application of academic skills toward the solution of business problems.
  • Participate in project work assisting department professionals developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, or developing/evaluating performance measures.
  • May compile business or operational data; assist in forecasting activity levels; assist in developing business solutions to department or organizational problems.
